Health Minister Highlights Bahrain’s Healthcare Commitments at PHDC Global Conference

Cairo: Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, emphasized Bahrain’s dedication to enhancing its healthcare system during her participation in the Global Conference on Population, Health and Human Development (PHDC’24). The event, themed “Human Development: For a Sustainable Future,” attracted an array of international health and development experts and was patronized by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference addressed significant issues such as global public health challenges, population growth, and human development, with a particular focus on sustainable solutions. The minister highlighted Bahrain’s efforts in ensuring comprehensive healthcare services for all its citizens and residents and stressed the importance of international collaboration to tackle global health challenges.

The minister pointed out that the conference was a vital platform for exchanging knowledge and adopting best practices in health and human development globally. It
featured 133 panel discussions and brought together 803 experts from around the world, discussing topics such as resilient health systems, community empowerment, and adapting to changing demographic and environmental realities.

These discussions also explored strategies for achieving equitable access to quality healthcare, education, and economic opportunities, aiming to improve public health outcomes across communities.
