Headline: Burkina Faso and Niger’s “Phantom” Unit Neutralizes Several Terrorists in Coordinated Mission

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – The “phantom” unit of the Burkinabè army, in coordination with air vectors from both Burkina Faso and Niger, neutralized several terrorists in the three border area this Sunday.

According to a new release by Burkina Information Agency, which cited security sources, the operation took place in the afternoon of Sunday, October 22, 2023. The “phantom” unit located at least a hundred terrorists under trees in the Goungam area in Burkinabè territory. Subsequent airstrikes resulted in explosions caused by terrorist munitions, killing several on the spot.

The phantom unit then proceeded to inspect the site, observing terrorist corpses, motorbikes, and charred weapons. Any surviving terrorists were pursued across the border into Niger by Burkinabè air carriers. Upon crossing the border, Nigerien air carriers took over the chase and followed the terrorists to Lélétan, in Nigerien territory. Despite attempts to hide, the terrorists were ultimately neutralized by Nigerien air vectors.

Military authorities from both Burkina Faso and Niger expressed satisfaction over the successful mission and the level of coordination between the two countries’ forces.
