Baku: The head of the CSPS invites the population to wear helmets during her accountability day: The Ouri Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) initiated a day of accountability on Friday, July 17, 2026, within the premises of said structure, an activity which aimed to take stock at the mid-term of actions carried out in terms of care and deliveries for the benefit of the population, to present them with the difficulties encountered and to collect their input for better patient care. This activity mobilized more than 150 people from various socio-professional backgrounds, including those in charge of other health facilities in the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, presiding over this session, the first vice-president of the special delegation, Yacouba Lougu, first praised the numerous efforts made by health personnel for the well-being of the population and asked the assembly to listen attentively to the various communications. Over the past six months, 3,915 patients, including 1,081 children, were received at the dispensary. Among these, 50 serious cases were referred to the Boromo Medical Center (CMA) for appropriate care. These serious cases were due to chronic illnesses such as blood sugar and blood pressure, indicated Adiaratou Traor Ouattara, head of the Ouri Primary Health Center (CSPS).
In general, the head of the department noted a higher incidence of respiratory illnesses and a significant decrease in malaria in the area. She did, however, report 3 road traffic fatalities out of 125 recorded cases. To this end, it encourages the public to wear helmets and avoid consuming adulterated alcohol to maintain good health.
Regarding maternity care, Adiaratou Traor Ouattara specifies that 8 cases of moderate malnutrition and 9 severe cases have been recorded. She therefore urges women to attend regular prenatal and postnatal checkups to avoid certain complications. Present at this meeting, the village chief, Amidou Yaro, addressed his population to urge them to protect themselves against diseases.
"I urge women to strictly follow the advice of nurses before and after childbirth because you cannot buy a child. To everyone, avoid alcohol for your own health," he stressed. At the end of the discussions, the head of the department expressed her satisfaction with the participants and appreciated the content of the exchanges, which she believes will improve the quality of healthcare services. However, she noted the shortage of maternity beds and the lack of other necessary equipment.
Concluding this general assembly, the municipal authority expressed satisfaction with the mobilization of the population and called on them to support the actions of the health center for quality care.
