Governor of Nazinon Urges Educational Community to Unite Ahead of 2026 School Exams

Nazinon: On the eve of the launch of the 2026 school exams, the governor of the Nazinon region, Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma, encouraged the entire educational community on Monday, during the traditional raising of the national colors organized at the Regional Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DREPPNF) of Nazinon.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony took place in the presence of government officials and representatives from the education sector. It also provided an opportunity to call for national solidarity, a successful agricultural season, and the smooth running of school examinations.

The regional director of preschool, primary and non-formal education in Nazinon, Adama Congo, presented the missions and performance of his structure, which is responsible for implementing educational policy in the region. The DREPPNF-Nazinon has more than 5,192 agents across all jobs for a student body of 157,985 pupils and 6,852 auditors in preschool. It covers three provincial directorates, 20 Basic Education Districts (CEB), 814 primary schools, 103 Early Childhood Education and Awakening Centres (CEEP), four Non-Formal Basic Education Centres (CEBNF), and 109 Non-Formal Education Centres (CENF).

For the organization of the Primary School Certificate (CEP), scheduled for June 2, 2026, 26 juries, 10 secondary centers, 98 composition rooms, 1,018 supervisors, 1,142 correctors, and 162 secretaries were mobilized for the benefit of 18,544 candidates. The governor praised the commitment of the various socio-professional components of the region alongside the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).

Speaking about the start of the wet agricultural campaign, Ms. Nacoulma encouraged producers as well as all public and private actors involved in the sector. She also expressed her gratitude to the government for the support measures implemented through the Ministry of Agriculture in support of food and nutritional sovereignty. "I hope that at the end of this campaign, the Nazinon region will further strengthen its position among the breadbasket regions of Faso," she said.

Regarding school examinations, the region has recorded this year 18,504 candidates for the CEP, 9,139 candidates for the BEPC, 436 candidates for the BEP, and 358 candidates for the CAP. The governor finally invited the driving forces of Nazinon to support the second edition of the mandatory patriotic immersion for those who passed secondary school exams, an initiative aimed at strengthening love of country and a sense of the common good among young people.
