Ouagadougou: The governor of the Liptako region, Abdoul Karim Zongo, urged all stakeholders in Dori on Tuesday to remain united and vigilant in order to preserve the gains and continue efforts in favor of peace and development, during the flag-raising ceremony held at the National Fire Brigade in Dori. The region's top official commended the mobilization of local stakeholders and urged them to maintain their momentum of commitment and responsibility. He emphasized the need for ongoing collaboration between authorities, security forces, and the population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor reviewed the major events recorded in the Sahel region during April 2026. He highlighted the efforts made to ensure stability and strengthen development actions. Mr. Zongo paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces as well as the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) for the sacrifices made in the context of securing the region.
