Government Reaffirms Commitment to Young People’s Inclusion Through Economic Initiatives

Cazombo: The Secretary of State for Youth, Dalina Bragan§a, reaffirmed on Wednesday the government's commitment to continue promoting policies for the productive inclusion of young people, focusing on youth cooperativism and the creation of micro and small economic initiatives. This announcement was made during the launch of the "Promotion of Youth Beekeeping" project in the municipality of Cazombo, Moxico Leste province.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Bragan§a emphasized that investing in youth is crucial for promoting economic growth, achieving social stability, and building a fairer and more productive country. The Secretary of State highlighted that Angola is at a decisive moment in its history, characterized by the need for economic diversification and reducing its dependence on oil. This diversification strategy includes focusing on sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, the blue economy, and youth entrepreneurship.

In support of these initiatives, five computer kits were distributed to youth associations in Moxico Leste to enhance their working conditions. The event also marked the commencement of a beekeeper training program, which will benefit about 200 participants. On Thursday, these participants are set to receive work kits to aid in their beekeeping endeavors.
