Cassengo: Health Minister Silvia Lutucuta stated on Friday in the municipality of Cassengo, in the province of Lunda Sul, that the under-construction Pediatric Hospital and Hemodialysis Center will address high- and medium-complexity cases.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the minister, speaking at the presentation of the construction works of the hospital and the hemodialysis center, emphasized the government's commitment to improving health care in the country and humanizing health services. She highlighted that the health sector will continue to prioritize primary healthcare and disease prevention through vaccination campaigns.
The Pediatric Hospital and the Hemodialysis Center are designed to treat conditions such as acute and chronic renal failure, which are currently not addressed in the area. The new 13,280-square-meter facility will feature outpatient consultation units, four inpatient areas with a total of 112 beds, a surgical center, an emergency room, as well as imaging and physiotherapy services.
Additionally, the hemodialysis center will offer 12 spaces for kidney treatment and will be equipped with a morgue, an autopsy laboratory, and a pathology analysis laboratory.
