Government Delegation Visits Victims of Barsalgho Terrorist Attack in Kaya


KAYA — Following a devastating terrorist attack in Barsalgho, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries, a high-level government delegation visited the injured at Kaya CHR on Sunday afternoon.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation, which included the Minister of Communication Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, Minister of Security Mahamadou Sana, Minister of Health Robert Kargougou, and the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, General Célestin Simporé, aimed to offer comfort and express the solidarity of the Burkinabè government. They conveyed the compassion of President Ibrahim Traoré and the entire nation to those affected by Saturday’s attack, which targeted residents engaged in community work.



During the visit, the delegation also praised the swift response of the medical staff at Kaya CHR, who had been instrumental in providing immediate care to the victims. Minister Ouédraogo condemned the attack as “barbaric and cowardly,” highlighting that it indiscriminately affected women, children, and the elderly. He emphasized the importance of national unity in supporting the Fighting Forces to counter the threats posed by terrorists seeking to destabilize Burkina Faso.
