Government Delegation Visits Lorum to Address Security and Humanitarian Concerns

TITAO, LORUM — On August 30, 2024, a high-level government delegation led by Minister of Economy and Finance Aboubakar Nacanabo and Minister of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training Boubakar Savadogo visited Titao to engage with the key figures of Lorum province. This visit comes as part of ongoing efforts to address the significant security and humanitarian challenges facing the region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ministers conveyed messages of compassion and solidarity from President Ibrahim Traoré to the people of Lorum, acknowledging their resilience amidst ongoing crises. The delegation paid tribute to the local defense forces and discussed the government's current and planned initiatives to alleviate the community's hardships.

During the meetings, local concerns were voiced, including the need for paving the Ouahigouya-Titao road and enhancing security and humanitarian support. Ministers Nacanabo and Savadogo reassured the community of the Transitional government’s commitment to addressing these issues and working towards the comprehensive liberation and welfare of Burkina Faso under the guidance of the Head of State.
