Government Approves Land Purchase for Saint-Joseph High School in Ouagadougou

Ouagadougou: The Council of Ministers has authorized the acquisition of the land on which the Saint-Joseph high school is located. The school, which has been closed for nearly three years, is situated in sector 26 of Ouagadougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the purchase of this property is part of a broader effort to enhance the State's real estate capacity. The high school, previously owned by the late Laurent Ghilat, occupies a 12,412 m² plot and includes 2,504.99 m² of infrastructure, such as main buildings, annexes, and equipment.

Negotiations with the heirs of the property have concluded with an agreement on a purchase price of 2 billion FCFA. This acquisition aims to bolster the State's real estate assets and capitalize on the strategic location of the site.
