Fada N'Gourma: The Saphyto Select Point (PSS), FAABO Agency, opened its doors in Fada N'Gourma to meet the needs of producers and get closer to them. The health of the population and agro-forestry and pastoral activities are central to Burkina Faso's efforts to achieve full sovereignty.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Saphyto's general manager, Auguste Thiombiano, emphasized that the inauguration of the agency in Yendabili aims to strengthen ties with producers who have already benefited from various training sessions. Saphyto offers a comprehensive range of products including seeds, herbicides, insecticides, and products for market gardening. For livestock farmers, Saphyto provides Taurinex, a mite insecticide recommended for protecting livestock from ticks and fleas.

Thiombiano highlighted that Saphyto, through its specialized public hygiene branch, plays a significant role in controlling malaria and vector-borne diseases with its CSP and WHO-U approved domestic insecticide Kaltox paalga. The agency is involved in pest control, insect control, and the disinfection of containers before export, offering preventive solutions for populations and businesses.

Adamou Ouali, the regional representative of market garden producers, expressed his satisfaction, noting that the presence of Saphyto ensures security and availability of phytosanitary products, which is a boon for producers. For 48 years, Saphyto products have been showcased to regional administrative authorities and producers.

Founded in 1991, Saphyto has been involved in manufacturing, packaging, and distributing phytosanitary products in Burkina Faso. Since 2017, it has operated as a fully Burkinabe company with sub-regional commercial coverage.
