The President of the special delegation (PDS) of Fada N’Gourma, Jérôme K. Idani, prohibited on April 10, 2023, the installation of initiation camps on the whole of his territorial jurisdiction, to avoid the risk of disturbances linked to the traditional chieftaincy and the security situation.

“In view of the sensitive nature of these initiation camps in the context of the crisis linked to the chiefdom in the Eastern region and the security situation, the installation of initiation camps is suspended throughout the municipal territory of Fada N’Gourma”, indicated the President of the special delegation of the commune of Fada N’Gourma, Jérôme K. Idani, in a press release sent to the AIB on Thursday.

The same press release notes that against all expectations, the PDS has found that some individuals have erected initiation camps despite the deleterious security context and the risks to public order that could result from it with regard to certain considerations relating to traditional chieftaincy. and customary.

The note recalls that the organization of certain events such as the installation of initiation camps are subject to prior information from the municipal authority, which advises.
