Gourma Special Delegation Passes Key Administrative and Land Resolutions

Ouagadougou: The special delegation of the municipality of Fada N'Gourma convened its second ordinary session of 2026 on June 30, under the leadership of President Kampadiba J©r´me Idani. The session focused on several resolutions concerning the administrative and land management of the municipality.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation reviewed and adopted the minutes from their previous session before moving on to various agenda items. Ernest Natama, the first vice-president of the special delegation, highlighted the adoption of resolutions that included converting residential plots into commercial ones and reinstating an agent from the previously dissolved municipal public establishment to rectify his administrative status.

Additionally, the delegation approved an amendment to the supplementary budget for the 2026 financial year. They also authorized the formation of a municipal toponymy commission, which will continue the work of naming streets, avenues, public buildings, schools, and health centers in Fada N'Gourma. This initiative aims to provide the municipality with official geographical landmarks, aiding in user orientation and urban space organization.

The delegation also reviewed the findings of a commission tasked with examining land regularization cases. Out of numerous applications, 42 were found compliant and were submitted for the issuance of decrees, allowing beneficiaries to legally utilize their plots.

The outcomes of this session demonstrate the special delegation's commitment to enhancing local governance through improved land organization, administrative regularization, and urban planning, benefiting the residents of Fada N'Gourma.
