Fada N’Gourma: During his official installation on Friday, January 17, 2025, in Fada N’Gourma, as regional director in charge of Human Rights in the Eastern region, Bouléma Yonli promised to use joking kinship as the basis of his actions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of the Eastern Region, Siaka Ouattara, officially installed Bouléma Yonli on January 17, 2025, in his role as Regional Director in charge of Human Rights in the East, replacing Règma Kaboré. The new regional director has committed to organizing and managing his structure with respect, seriousness, and integrity in a spirit of collaboration with all stakeholders in accordance with the texts despite the difficult security context prevailing in the region.

Bouléma Yonli also stated that he has a duty to highlight the values of citizenship, tolerance, and peace in a challenging security and humanitarian context. He indicated that he will make the search for peace his main concern by using joking kinship and respect
for elders as bases to prevent many evils that undermine the Eastern region.

The outgoing regional director, Règma Kaboré, leaves with a feeling of having loyally accomplished his mission despite the precariousness in which his service found itself. He expressed his gratitude to all the actors who accompanied him in the exercise of his functions. For Mr. Kaboré, the major challenge that remains is to be able to reconcile respect for human rights and the fight against terrorism.
