Zondoma/Health: The Gourcy Community Medical Center offers free consultations to the population. The Gourcy Community Medical Center organized Open Days which took place from May 29 to 31, 2025. On this occasion, free consultations were offered to the public. From May 29 to 31, 2025, the Gourcy Community Medical Center opened its services to the population of Zondoma.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the center’s director, Dr. Fidel Ilboudo, stated that this initiative primarily aims to promote community health and prevent certain diseases within the population.

This is why, for 72 hours, general medicine consultations, screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes, and hepatitis were carried out free of charge for the benefit of the population.

According to the organizers, more than 500 people were received during this period. Radio broadcasts were also hosted by the center’s staff to raise awareness about these chronic diseases, which are becoming increasingly prevalent among the population.

In addition to general medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, gynecology, nephrology, and traumatology are, among others, the specialties offered by the Gourcy community health center, which was established in 2018. It should be noted that the center also performs minor surgery and has its own medical analysis laboratory. Located in sector 3 of Gourcy, this private health facility organizes open days every year, which primarily constitute an awareness-raising opportunity for the populations of Zondoma, Sourou, and Yatenga.
