Goulmou Region Sets Stage for National Solidarity Campaign Dem¨ Sira

Goulmou: Representatives of the Goulmou region participated in a preparatory meeting in Fada N'Gourma on Monday, November 24, 2025, dedicated to explaining the national campaign "Dem¨ Sira," or "the path of solidarity." The session was chaired by the Secretary General of the Goulmou region, Siaka Ouattara.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional director of Humanitarian and Social Action in Goulmou, Lassane Ouedraogo, who handled the communication assisted by his technical team, stated that the Dem¨ Sira campaign, launched on November 14, 2025, at the national level, aims to revalue cultural and customary values in order to promote the spirit of solidarity among the people of Burkina Faso. "This initiative reflects the will of the highest authorities in the country," he recalled.

Mr. Ouedraogo specified that the Goulmou region will host the campaign activities from December 8 to 10, 2025. In Fada N'Gourma, several actions are planned, including a traveling awareness campaign in the city, a blood donation session, a forum theatre on solidarity, a fundraising campaign, and a donation of food and equipment to an organization of people living with a disability in Gourma.

The campaign also includes a visit followed by the handover of equipment to a shelter for children in distress and a community meal intended to strengthen social cohesion. The regional director of Humanitarian and Social Action in Goulmou invited the entire population to participate massively in the competitions and activities initiated by his ministry as part of Dem¨ Sira.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Goulmou region, Siaka Ouattara, urged the various social strata of Goulmou to fully embrace this national campaign and work towards its success.
