OUAGADOUGOU – The Golden Hand company, known for its work in processing mining residues, has issued a public warning about fraudulent recruitment schemes carried out in its name. The alert came after reports surfaced of scammers exploiting job seekers by falsely claiming to represent the company in recruitment efforts.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Joachim Marie Tapsoba, the Director General of Golden Hand, highlighted the issue. Tapsoba stated, “It has come to my attention that ill-intentioned individuals are carrying out rackets on honest citizens under the pretext of recruitment by the Golden Hand company.” He clarified that Golden Hand has not authorized any organization or individuals to conduct recruitment on its behalf and expressly disclaimed any responsibility for these deceptive activities.
Tapsoba further announced that the company is prepared to pursue legal action if these fraudulent practices persist, signaling a firm stance against those exploiting the company’s name to defraud job seekers. The press release also served as a reminder of the company’s recent inauguration, noting that the Golden Hand’s operations, focusing on the processing of mining residues, were officially launched on January 23, 2024, by Head of State Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
The warning from Golden Hand emphasizes the need for vigilance among citizens and job seekers in Burkina Faso, urging them to be cautious of scams and to verify the legitimacy of recruitment offers purportedly associated with reputable companies.
