Gnagna: Muslim and Christian worshippers gathered on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in the courtyard of Bogand© town hall for a collective breaking of the fast. This initiative, led by Alice Bikienga/Lankoand©, an Amazon from the Gnagna province, aims to strengthen fraternity and coexistence between the different religious communities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, for the second consecutive year, this meeting provided a framework for exchanges marked by recognition and solidarity. Imam Seydou Mano believes that this initiative contributes to the consolidation of social peace. He also encouraged the continuation of such initiatives which promote interreligious unity and cohesion.
For her part, Alice Bikienga/Lankoand© reaffirmed her commitment to making this meeting an annual event. "This activity is a framework for fraternization that allows us to enter a new spiritual dimension, and we intend to repeat it in 2026," she said.
In addition to the communal meal, the Amazon from the Gnagna province offered two 10-meter bales of mats worth 250,000 francs to the mosques of the town of Bogand© and to CERFI. At the same time, the Catholic community also received 20 boxes of hosts worth 240,000 francs.
This evening of sharing took place in a friendly atmosphere, demonstrating once again the ability of religious communities to come together in unity and mutual respect.
