Gnagna: The Sports Association of Agents of the Ministry of Justice serving at the High Court (TGI) of Bogand© launched, this Saturday, June 28, 2025, a Maracana tournament called ‘Yanduama Peace Tournament’, with the aim of promoting social cohesion and living together in the province of Gnagna. The opening match pitted As Justice B against FC Koglweogo. After a well-fought match, FC Justice won 1-0.

According to Burkina Information Agency, presiding over the launching ceremony, the President of the Bogand© High Court, Yempabou Onadja, welcomed the initiative and expressed the hope that the competition would take place in a spirit of fair play, fraternity, and peace. Onadja highlighted the tournament’s role in restoring hope amid a challenging security situation, aiming to strengthen social cohesion among young people and offer a moment of relaxation for the community.

Mr. Onadja urged participants to uphold fair play, “and nothing but fair play,” to ensure the tournament’s objectives are achieved. He also encouraged the public to attend in large numbers to support the event. In total, eleven teams from local structures are participating, providing a platform for social exchange and integration.

Matches are scheduled for every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evening at the Bogand© municipal field, with the grand final slated for the end of July 2025. The organizers intend for the tournament to contribute to peacebuilding through sport in the region’s sometimes fragile security and social context.
