Globeleq, a leading energy company, has completed a significant investment in Kenya's renewable energy sector. The company has finalized a US$117 million investment in the 35 MW Menengai geothermal project, scheduled to become operational in 2025.
According to Africa News Agency, The Menengai geothermal project aligns with Kenya's national goals of diversifying energy sources and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Once operational, the project will supply renewable energy to Kenya's national grid, contributing to the country's sustainable energy infrastructure.
