Marrakech: Initially conceived as a continental event bringing together regulators and tech industry leaders, GITEX Africa Morocco has now established itself as a global gathering and an essential platform for networking and growth, said on Monday in Marrakech, Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of Kaoun International, the main organizer of GITEX.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, LohMirmand emphasized that the annual event is emerging as a key catalyst for digital transformation in Africa, propelling the continent to the forefront of the global tech stage. She highlighted that with Africa's increasingly young population, digital transition is no longer a choice but a necessity. LohMirmand noted the remarkable progress already made in the African banking and telecom sectors, which is paving the way for rapid innovation and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

In this dynamic context, technology-friendly policies are gradually taking root across the continent, while investments continue to grow steadily. GITEX Africa Morocco provides a strategic platform for venture capitalists, incubators, and research centers, thereby boosting Africa's visibility on the international tech scene, she stressed.

The event, building on the strength of the two previous editions, is confirming its status as a new global talent incubator, LohMirmand added.
