Loroum: Girls achieved the best results in the 2026 baccalaureate exams in Loroum province, with a pass rate of 55.56%, compared to 39.29% for boys. Following the two rounds of exams, 41 out of 82 candidates passed, representing an overall pass rate of 50%.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the statistics were provided by the Loroum Provincial Directorate of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training (DPESFPT). Out of a total of 82 candidates across all series, including 28 boys and 54 girls, 23 candidates were declared admitted in the first round. The second round allowed 18 more candidates to obtain their diploma, bringing the total number of successful candidates to 41, including 30 girls and 11 boys with an overall success rate of 50%.
The analysis of the results by gender reveals a clear dominance of girls. They recorded a success rate of 55.56%, with 30 admitted out of 54 candidates, compared to 39.29% for boys, or 11 admitted out of 28 candidates. The gap of more than 16 percentage points confirms the best performance of the girls in the province during this session.
By series, series A recorded 21 admissions out of 27 candidates, representing a success rate of 77.78%, while series D had 20 admissions out of 55 candidates, corresponding to a rate of 36.36%. These results reflect the efforts made by the candidates, teachers, supervisors, and parents of students who have demonstrated resilience.
For this session, candidates from the province of Loroum took their exams in the various juries of Ouahigouya. The written exams for the baccalaureate began on June 23, 2026, across the entire national territory.
