GGGI Applauds Ethiopia’s Efforts to Combat Climate Change

Addis Ababa: The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) has commended Ethiopia for its dedicated efforts to tackle climate challenges. During a bilateral meeting between Seyum Mekonnen, State Minister of Planning and Development, and Helena McLeod, GGGI’s Deputy Director General, both parties discussed strategies to strengthen their collaboration in promoting sustainable growth and combating climate change.

According to Ethiopian News Agency,The State Minister outlined Ethiopia’s climate initiatives and identified investment priorities for development partners. McLeod lauded Ethiopia’s commitment and offered GGGI’s support, including its expertise in green finance mechanisms like green bonds and carbon markets. GGGI, which has been partnering with Ethiopia since the country became a founding member in 2012, continues to support Ethiopia’s green growth strategy.
