German Index Dax Down 8%, Falls Below 19,000 Points for 1st Time Since November 21

St. Petersburg: Germany's DAX stock market index has decreased by 8.5% below 19,000 points for the first time since November 21, trading data showed on Monday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, as of 07:14 GMT, the German DAX fell by 7.61% to 19,129.25 points, minutes earlier it had decreased to below 19,000 points.

At the same time, the UK's FTSE 100 index decreased by 5.6% to 7,604 points, and the French CAC 40 dropped by 6.73% to 7,785.21 points.
