President Hage Geingob on Tuesday relieved Daniel Kashikola of his duties as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security with immediate effect, replacing him with Lucia Witbooi.
In a statement issued by the Presidency, Geingob thanked Kashikola for his service and wished him well in his future endeavours.
In another personnel change, Geingob also appointed Natalia Goagoses as Deputy Minister of Higher education, Technology and Innovation, saying that as an educationist by training, Goagoses is tasked with strengthening the work of government in the delivery of better services in the higher education sector, including the acceleration of national efforts towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
Moreover, Eveline Nawases-Tayele was appointed as Deputy Minister of Urban and Regional Development, where she is expected to contribute towards an improved performance culture for better public service delivery in the ministry.
