Gayéri Residents Mobilize for Cleanup at Town Hall and Gendarmerie

Gayéri: In a notable display of civic engagement, the residents of Gayéri, a city in the Komondjari province, participated in a cleanup event at the local town hall and gendarmerie on September 18, 2024. The initiative, organized by the National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC), aimed at enhancing the cleanliness of these key public areas.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the cleanup event was not only about maintaining hygiene but also served as an expression of support for the Forces of Order and Security (FDS), who are integral in maintaining safety within the province. Mr. Diallo Lompo, the president of CNAVC at the provincial level, stated that this activity was designed to strengthen solidarity and social cohesion among the residents, in addition to backing the FDS.

The event targeted the surroundings of the town hall and gendarmerie initially, with plans to extend similar efforts to other public services, including environmental and police departments, in the near future. Th
