Gardening Innovation: Soilless Cultivation Taught in Goni Toucht School

Goni toucht: The school garden of the Goni Toucht School, a collaborative effort between the school and the local community, was visited by the supervisory team from the Basic Education District (CEB) on Monday, April 6, 2026. This visit highlighted the school's unique approach to gardening, which stands out for its educational value.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Goni Toucht School's garden is situated on a plot of land provided by local residents and is notable for its use of hydroponic methods. This soilless cultivation technique differs from the traditional practices of the village and has been integrated into the school curriculum as a valuable educational tool.

The Head of the Basic Education District, Anselme Taro, expressed his appreciation to the school's headmaster, Manakounou Dakie, and his team for initiating this innovative project.
