Gaongo Constituency Council Discusses Education System Reforms and School Council Implementation

Gaongo: The Gaongo Basic Education District convened its district council meeting to deliberate on the implementation of the School Council and education system reforms. The meeting, held on January 14, 2026, was spearheaded by Youssouf Bassia, the head of the Basic Education District (CEB) of the commune of Gaongo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the gathering included educational supervisors, school principals, and chairpersons of school councils. The agenda focused on reviewing assessments, analyzing the results of the first term's harmonized composition, discussing education system reforms, and explaining the school council along with the roles of its board members.

The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Gaongo, Souleymane Diallo, presided over the opening ceremony. In his address, Mr. Diallo commended the educational staff for their achievements in recent years and encouraged them to continue striving for quality education and enhanced results.

Youssouf Bassia emphasized that the meeting served as a platform to revisit the objectives and functioning of the school council, highlighting the roles of its members in the educational framework.
