Gaongo: The President of the special delegation of the municipality presided over the ceremony of raising the national colors marking the launch of the 3rd edition of the national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation (JEPPC) within the town hall.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the commune of Gaongo in the province of Baz¨ga (Nazinon region) has launched the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation (JEPPC), under the theme: "Food sovereignty and economic patriotism: together, let us cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption". The event aims to engage the local population in discussions and activities centered around food sovereignty and the importance of supporting local production.
Following the raising of the national flag, the President of the Gaongo Special Delegation (PDS), Souleymane Diallo, delivered the message from the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©. He expressed gratitude to all heads of public administration services, their staff, Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and the local population who participated in the JEPPC launch ceremony. Mr. Diallo highlighted the crucial role of community involvement in achieving the goals set for the event.
Several activities are planned for this edition of the JEPPC, including clean-up days in various departments and cultural and sporting events. These initiatives are designed to foster a sense of responsibility and engagement among residents, encouraging them to contribute actively to the development and well-being of their community.
The launch ceremony concluded with a tasting of local cuisine, emphasizing the importance of local production and consumption, which aligns with the event's theme of promoting food sovereignty and economic patriotism.
