The new provincial director in charge of water and sanitation in Ganzourgou, Joseph Ouaro, promised to work during his mandate, with respect, seriousness and integrity.

The Secretary General of Ganzourgou Province, Harouna Karambiri, installed Joseph Ouaro as the new provincial director in charge of water and sanitation in Ganzourgou on October 6, 2023 during a ceremony held in the hall meeting of the Zorgho high commission.

The rural engineering works engineer replaces Mr. Dramane Sébastien Koncolé in this position, who spent six years there.

6 years of good collaboration with management agents praised by the staff representative, Yves Yaogo. During this time, achievements have been made despite the difficulties.

According to Mr. Koncolé, these achievements include, among others, the construction of six dams, the rehabilitation of seven others, the construction of around a hundred boreholes and the improvement of access to sanitation through the construction of several latrines.

In terms of difficul
ties, he noted the absence of a seat for management, the insufficiency of rolling stock, the problem of open defecation and the absence of coordination between the actors.

He thanked all the administrative, political, customary and religious authorities for the support he received during his stay in Ganzourgou. He asked that this same support be reserved for the newcomer so that he could succeed in his mission.

After his solemn installation, the new director, Joseph Ouaro thanked God and the Manes of the ancestors for the grace they gave him. He thanked the highest authorities of the country for the trust placed in him through this appointment. ‘I undertake to organize, manage and administer this provincial leadership with respect, seriousness and integrity. ” he said. He invited his new collaborators to be in the same dynamic as him so that together they can meet the challenges in terms of water and sanitation in the province.

He congratulated the outgoing man for the work done and promised to build on th
e achievements made under his leadership in order to make the structures more effective, efficient and radiant.
