Ganzourgou: The High Commissioner of the Ganzourgou province, Comrade Aminata Sorgho/Gouba, called on Tuesday for public services and the population to remain mobilized around the values of patriotism, discipline, solidarity, and social cohesion, on the occasion of the traditional raising of the colors held at the high commission of Zorgho.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was attended primarily by provincial directors and heads of services, as well as officials from the High Commission, the Prefecture, and the City Hall. The military ceremony was conducted by the National Police.

In her address, the provincial governor commended the results achieved in the 2026 school examinations in the province, noting a 90.84% pass rate for the CEP, 55.11% for the BEPC, and 73.83% for the Baccalaureate. She congratulated the students, teachers, educational advisors, parents, school boards, and education partners for their efforts.

She emphasized that these performances should motivate all stakeholders to continue their efforts to further improve the education system, while maintaining a dynamic based on work, discipline, and the constant pursuit of excellence.

The High Commissioner also paid tribute to the Defence and Security Forces for their professionalism and commitment to securing school examinations, which allowed candidates to take their exams in a calm atmosphere.

Addressing the 2026 national reforestation campaign, she congratulated the Water and Forestry agents and all stakeholders involved in the successful activities in the province, aligning with the national theme: "My Concession, My Tree." She urged the population to monitor and protect the planted trees to serve as a legacy for future generations.

The High Commissioner urged public services, local authorities, civil society, and the population to remain mobilized to meet the development challenges of the province and Burkina Faso.

Concluding the ceremony, she asked the heads of provincial services to organize themselves to revive the rotating flag-raising ceremony in the various administrations. She also invited them to establish an organization to contribute to the Faso Mªbo initiative in the region.

The ceremony ended with an invitation to continue efforts in unity, civic duty, and work in service to the Nation.
