Beijing: Tormod Frostad of Norway and French skier Tess Ledeux claimed victory in the men’s and women’s freeski big air at the FIS World Cup here on Sunday. 22-year-old Frostad collected 183.00 points to secure the win, while Italian Miro Tabanelli finished second, trailing by just 0.75 points. Canadian Dylan Deschamps ranked third, scoring 181.00 points.
According to Namibia Press Agency, in the women’s event, Beijing Winter Olympics silver medalist Tess Ledeux topped the podium with 168.25 points. Switzerland’s Sarah Hoefflin followed in second place with 163.00 points, while 17-year-old Flora Tabanelli of Italy secured third place. Tess expressed her happiness, stating, “I am so happy, and I love the Chinese fans. I felt bad in the qualification, but the condition gets better today. I will try my best to take competition after competition this season.”
China’s Liu Mengting and Yang Ruyi finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the women’s freeski big air. The men’s and women’s snowboard big air even
