The junior Stallions of Burkina Faso in football, beat Monday in Kinshasa (DR Congo) during the 3rd day of the Francophonie games, their counterparts the Lionceaux of Senegal by the score of 1 goal to 0, while in athletics and cycling the reaction is timid.
It was Kader Ouattara thanks to his only goal that allowed the Junior Stallions to win against the Senegalese team.
In athletics it was the first day of its IX Games of La Francophonie. The Burkinabè Sita Sibiri, African U20 champion in the 400m, was the first to enter the competition this morning. She finished 2 nd in her heat but qualified for the final with a record time of 53″56.
Madina Touré 2nd in the first round of the 100m also qualifies for the 100m final. Abdramane Simporé was eliminated in the first round, finishing 4th in his series.
On the first day of road racing cycling, Paul Daumont finished just off the podium, finishing 4th in the race, and therefore eliminated.
The 9th Games of La Francophonie take place in Kinshasa in DR Congo, from July 28 to August 6.
