Foutouri Community Contributes Over One Million CFA Francs to National Peace Efforts

Gayéri – The residents of Foutouri have gathered more than one million CFA francs in support of the Burkina Faso transitional government’s efforts to reclaim national territory and promote peace. This marks the fifth such financial mobilization by the community, according to Mr. Monmini Sinaré, President of the special delegation of the commune of Foutouri.

According to Burkina Information Agency, 2024, a total of one million twenty-one thousand (1,021,000) CFA francs was collected following a call from the village chief on June 22. The funds were subsequently handed over to the head of the Foutouri detachment on June 24 for transfer to the Public Treasury. This recent collection follows previous contributions totaling nearly 1.8 million CFA francs raised over the past year for similar purposes, demonstrating the community’s ongoing commitment to the transitional authorities and the peace process.
