Four Suspects Arrested for Multiple Crimes Including Vehicle Theft in Polokwane

POLOKWANE – Members of the SAPS Provincial Murder and Robbery unit, along with the Provincial Tracking Team, arrested four suspects aged between 30 and 40 for various crimes, including possession of a suspected stolen vehicle, in the Masemola policing area on Tuesday, 21 November 2023.

According to South Africa Police Service, while on duty, identified a suspicious light blue VW Golf 1 with four occupants at Apel Cross. After a high-speed chase, the suspects were apprehended. Searches revealed tools commonly used in burglaries, balaclavas, gloves, and a pistol with a filed-off serial number. The vehicle they were using was also found to be tampered with.

Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, commended the team for their alertness, which led to the arrest of the suspects and the prevention of further crimes. The suspects are set to appear before Nebo Magistrate’s Court, facing charges including conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of a prohibited firearm, ammunition, and a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
