Mianwali: Four militants were killed and two policemen injured when police in Pakistan’s east Punjab province repelled a terrorist attack, an official statement said. The incident took place on Sunday in the Mianwali district where approximately 20 terrorists stormed a police station, the district’s police reported.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the police inside the station were alert and, due to their prompt response, managed to foil the terrorists’ plot, forcing them to flee the scene. The confrontation initiated a gunfight between the terrorists and the police, resulting in the death of four militants.
The police have taken custody of the bodies, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the identities of the deceased. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
