Tuy: The Founzan A Public Primary School (EPP) concluded its 2025-2026 academic year with an official closing ceremony attended by administrative and educational authorities, partners, and community stakeholders. The event highlighted the school's academic achievements and recognized the efforts of students and staff.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony showcased the school's impressive performance, having achieved a 100% pass rate in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) for the second consecutive year. Notably, twelve-year-old Natiguissiba Abdoul Ch©rif Sawadogo earned the highest score in Tuy province on the CEP exam, with an average of 9.87 out of 10. Awards were distributed to top-performing students from CP1 to CM2, and teachers received certificates of recognition for their dedication.
School principal Ir¨ne Som©/Nana praised the students for their hard work and commended the teachers and school council for their dedication. Tionou Lamy, head of the Founzan Basic Education District (CCEB), encouraged teachers and supported the introduction of the bilingual Moor©-French school, emphasizing parental involvement in students' education.
Lassan© Kiemd©, secretary general of the town hall and representative of the president of the special delegation (PDS), expressed gratitude to all involved in education and reiterated the municipality's commitment to educational support. The ceremony also featured cultural performances by students, celebrating their cultural heritage.
Additionally, Founzan A Public Primary School highlighted its achievements in sports, with notable victories in the OSEP men's and women's football championships.
