Ouagadougou: Former employees of Radiodiffusion Télévision du Burkina (RTB) have officially established the Amicale des anciens de la RTB (AmA-RTB), aiming to foster solidarity, assistance, and fraternity among the company’s retirees.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the newly formed society was announced on Thursday by its president, Zan Élie. The foundation of AmA-RTB is driven by the desire to maintain strong ties among former colleagues and to provide a support system to navigate post-retirement challenges. “Now retired, we must create a framework of mutual aid and support to overcome life’s difficulties. Being together makes us stronger in the face of challenges,” Élie stated.

The organization not only aims to bolster camaraderie among past RTB workers but also plans to initiate social projects and establish a solidarity fund to support members during both tough and prosperous times. Furthering its outreach, AmA-RTB seeks to build connections with other similar groups both within Burkina Faso a
nd internationally.

Additionally, AmA-RTB is committed to nurturing future generations of journalists by passing down valuable knowledge and skills. This initiative is part of an effort to ensure that the high standards of journalism practiced by previous generations continue to evolve and influence the industry positively.
