Former Quimbele Health Director Arrested for Alleged Vehicle Theft

U­ge: The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) arrested today, Monday, the former municipal director of Health of Quimbele, for alleged embezzlement. Speaking to ANGOP, Zacarias Fernando, spokesperson for the SIC in U­ge, explained that the crime occurred in 2023, when the accused simulated a breakdown in an assigned vehicle and subsequently determined the vehicle's fate.

According to Angola Press News Agency, based on the facts, the SIC initiated investigations into the case, resulting in the arrest of the 43-year-old man and the recovery of the ambulance. As a result, the accused was referred to a judge, who imposed the appropriate precautionary measures.

In another crime, the SIC also arrested a couple this Monday in the Papelo neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city of U­ge, for suffocating to death a newborn who showed signs of congenital malformation.
