Former Minister of Justice Rui Mangueira Dies at 63 in Spain

Pamplona: The former Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Rui Jorge Carneiro Mangueira, died on Tuesday afternoon in Pamplona, Spain, at the age of 63, after an illness, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

According to Angola Press News Agency, in addition to his significant work in diplomacy, Mangueira also served with responsibility as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Banco de Fomento Exterior. During his tenure, he contributed to institutional strengthening and national development. Rui Mangueira also held the position of Angola's ambassador to the United Kingdom, where he effectively represented and promoted the country's interests, earning recognition in international diplomatic circles.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a note of condolences, expressed deep sorrow at the diplomat's death, highlighting his career marked by dedication to the national cause, professional competence, and a high sense of state.
