Former Football Star Saïdou Madi Panandétiguiri Supports Colonel-Major Oumarou Sawadogo for FBF Presidency


OUAGADOUGOU — Former Burkinabè football star Saïdou Madi Panandétiguiri, now a candidate for the presidency of the Northern Regional Football League, has publicly announced his support for Colonel-Major Oumarou Sawadogo’s candidacy for the presidency of the Burkinabè Football Federation (FBF).



According to Burkina Information Agency, during a press conference on August 20, 2024, in Ouahigouya, Panandétiguiri outlined his program aimed at developing football in the northern region. His plan focuses on uniting the region’s communities, improving sports infrastructure, securing funding, and nurturing young talent. He called for a “sacred union” among all football stakeholders in the region to achieve these goals.



Panandétiguiri also emphasized his full support for Colonel-Major Oumarou Sawadogo, stating that Sawadogo’s program aligns with the regional development plan he envisions. He urged the football community to rally behind Sawadogo to advance the sport at both the regional and national levels.
