Ouagadougou: Edwige Kabor© won the first edition of Food Revolution on Friday in Ouagadougou, an initiative marking the end of a training session dedicated to the transformation of local food products.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the highlight of this event was the crowning of Edwige Kabor©, a nutritionist by training who distinguished herself through an innovative project of healthy snacks, made from local raw materials and adapted to the nutritional needs of preschool and primary school children. With a remarkable average of 19/20, she wins a check for 500,000 FCFA to support the development of her initiative.
Led by promoter Farrel Onelia Baki, Food Revolution positions itself as a dynamic network bringing together agri-food stakeholders and committed entrepreneurs. The initiative aligns with the vision of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, in favor of promoting local consumption. The training also benefited from the support of Candide To©, who provided his expertise in marketing, particularly on the promotion and marketing of local products.
Speaking next, the promoter indicated that "It is in line with the Head of State's vision that we took the initiative to undertake this training, because it is primarily up to us to promote ourselves." The event was sponsored by the Director General of the Burkina Faso Council for Agricultural, Livestock and Fisheries Sectors, Ou©himie Cl©ment Attiou. It also received support from the Director General for Employment Promotion, Arnaud Koussoub©.
Beyond this first edition, Food Revolution aims to sustain its action through an annual program of training and support for the structuring of projects, for the benefit of Burkinabe youth.
