Bobo-Dioulasso: The Bobo-Dioulasso special municipal delegation distributed food to approximately 340 vulnerable people on Saturday, May 10, 2025. The assistance is estimated at 10 million CFA francs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation consists of 175 50kg bags of rice, 175 50kg bags of corn, and 175 5-liter cans of oil. It is intended for internally displaced persons, highly vulnerable populations, as well as facilities hosting children, the elderly, or individuals in extremely precarious situations.
The municipality’s director of gender promotion and social action, Safiatou Lengani, stated that the distribution aimed to ensure each beneficiary receives a fair supply of rice, corn, and oil.
The representative of the president of the special delegation, Moussa Sanou, emphasized that this action is part of an annual tradition of supporting vulnerable groups. “It is the municipality’s duty to help those who need it most,” he said.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Minata Karambiri, an int
ernally displaced person from Dyan (Diébougou commune), expressed her gratitude to the local authorities. “This support will allow us to meet our needs for some time,” she said.
