Nairobi: The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Technical Department has concluded a three-day intensive working visit with FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Expert Faisal Abdul Chibsah, held from 13th to 15th October 2025.
According to Kenya News Agency, during the visit, Chibsah guided the FKF Technical team through a comprehensive review and practical alignment of Kenya’s player development structures with FIFA’s global TDS framework. The engagement focused on strengthening Kenya’s player pathway, identifying areas for structural improvement, and setting a clear roadmap for long-term elite youth development.
The visit provided FKF with a detailed and practical guide on implementing the FIFA TDS program in Kenya, ensuring that national talent development efforts are sustainable, data-driven, and globally benchmarked. Speaking at the conclusion of the visit, FKF Football Development Director, Francis Kimanzi, expressed the Federation’s appreciation to FIFA for the continued collaboration and technical support under the Talent Development Scheme. Kimanzi emphasized the importance of the visit, stating it has provided the technical team with a clear blueprint for developing Kenya’s future talent in line with FIFA’s global standards.
Kimanzi also reiterated FKF’s commitment to building a robust and competitive football development system across all levels of the game, highlighting the Federation’s dedication to long-term success.
