Nairobi: The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has launched an all-female CAF C coaching course at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) in Nairobi, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of women’s football in Kenya.
According to Kenya News Agency, the course, which began on Monday, October 14, 2024, and will conclude on Friday, November 18, 2024, has enrolled 30 female coaches from various regions of Kenya. This initiative is part of FKF’s strategic efforts to increase the number of qualified female football coaches and bridge the gender gap in this sport’s coaching ranks.
The course is led by two renowned CAF instructors, Coach Jackline Juma and Beldine Odemba. Juma made history as the first female head coach in the FKF Premier League with FC Talanta, and Odemba led the Kenya Police Bullets to an unbeaten season, securing their first FKF Women’s Premier League title.
