Five Tons of Cement and Granite Donated to Faso Mªbo by Regional Directorate and Burkinab¨ Nationals in Italy

Ouagadougou: The Faso Mªbo Agency in Tenkodogo received two substantial donations of building materials, including five tons of cement and eight cubic meters of granite, from the Regional Directorate of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism of Nakambe (DRCCAT-NKB) and the Association of Burkinab¨ Nationals Living in Italy, known as Faso-Boulgou. These donations are part of a civic initiative aimed at enhancing cultural sovereignty and improving local living conditions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover ceremony was attended by Yacouba Diakite, the Regional Director of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism for Nakambe. Diakite emphasized that this contribution aligns with the national vision of collective nation-building. "It is together that we must build this country. As civil servants, we have a duty to contribute to the construction and beautification of our cities," he remarked.

The DRCCAT-Nakambe's donation included one ton of cement, complemented by the active participation of its staff in producing and demolding paving stones, showcasing a hands-on commitment to the initiative. Diakite highlighted the importance of cultural sovereignty and collective participation in communication and cultural endeavors, validating the directorate's support for Faso Mªbo Agency.

Solidarity was further evidenced by the Faso-Boulgou Association, which comprises Burkinab¨ nationals residing in Italy. The association's president, Paulin Ouandaogo, presented four tons of cement, a can of motor oil, and eight cubic meters of granite on behalf of its members. Ouandaogo expressed that this gesture aims to bolster the Faso Mªbo Agency, which he perceives as vital for local development and urban beautification.

"Whenever we have the opportunity, we will return to contribute. Faso Mªbo is doing remarkable work and deserves the support of all sons and daughters of Burkina Faso, wherever they may be," Ouandaogo stated.

Faso Mªbo officials in Tenkodogo expressed appreciation for these contributions, which enhance the agency's capacity to improve the urban landscape of the city. Through these efforts, the donors underscore that the foundation of a sovereign, united, and beautiful Burkina Faso lies in collective dedication, solidarity, and patriotic spirit.
