DAR ES SALAAM– Five people were killed, after a saloon car collided head-on with a fuel tanker, in Tanzania’s eastern region of Morogoro, the police said, yesterday.

Morogoro Regional Police Commander, Fortunatus Musilimu, said, the accident occurred on Monday night at Mikumi, in Kilosa district.

The five victims, who were travelling in the saloon car, died on the spot, Musilimu said, adding that, preliminary investigations revealed that the driver of the saloon car, attempted to overtake several vehicles before colliding with the fuel tanker.
