Katutura: The Electoral Commission of Namibia on Friday released the confirmed results of the 2025 Regional Council election for the Katutura East Constituency in the Khomas Region.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the results are as follows: Richard Gaoseb of the Swapo Party received 2,227 votes, securing the majority. Samson Hochobeb from the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) garnered 622 votes. Julius Tsuseb of the United Democratic Front (UDF) obtained 420 votes.

In the race, independent candidates also made their mark. Izaak Swartz received 406 votes, and Else Ndapandula Chen secured 103 votes. Additionally, Violet Geinus of the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) received 173 votes.

A total of 3,951 votes were counted in this election, highlighting the active participation of the constituency's electorate.
