Minsk: Work on the technical and economic feasibility study for constructing a second nuclear power plant in Belarus is set to be completed by mid-2025. This was revealed by Alexey Polishchuk, Director of the Second Department of CIS Countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Polishchuk stated that specialized agencies from both Russia and Belarus have established an expert working group to discuss the technical and financial conditions of this significant project. This group has already convened several meetings to address a range of issues, including the potential location of the plant, pricing parameters, reactor types, construction timelines, and other relevant concerns.

These discussions are also occurring in other settings, including regular meetings between Rosatom State Corporation's management and the Belarusian government, Polishchuk added.
