WINDHOEK — FC Ongos ladies emerged as the champions of the 2024 PstBet Namibia Football Association (NFA) Cup following a closely contested 2-1 victory over Khomas NamPol at Independence Stadium on Saturday. This win adds another trophy to their collection following their success in the 2023/24 FNB Women’s Super League.



According to Namibia Press Agency, the final was a dramatic affair that extended into extra time after the regulation 90 minutes ended in a 1-1 draw. FC Ongos, leveraging their seasoned experience, initially took the lead in the second half, only for Khomas NamPol to quickly equalize with a penalty. The match proceeded to extra time where FC Ongos dominated, scoring the decisive second goal to clinch the title.



The competition also saw Beauties secure third place with a 3-0 win over Nust Babes in the third-place playoffs. The financial stakes were high, with the champions receiving N$250,000, the runners-up N$120,000, and the third-place team N$70,000, highlighting the growing investment in women’s football in Namibia.
